12/10 – Venus enters Scorpio. Here it adds magnetism to the already sexy charisma of those with Scorpio Ascendants or Moon signs, bringing out their affectionate nature in a more pronounced manner. Sparks will be flying and it is an easier time to attract partners now. For those whose charts are ruled by Venus, here’s the story: For Librans, this is their 2nd house, activating the arenas of communication, money and family ties. For the Taurus Rising and Moon signs, Venus will be crossing their 7th house of partners, marriage, business and travel, for an enjoyable experience.
12/14 – TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE, in the sign of Scorpio. FIVE planets will be sitting in this water sign today: Mercury, Venus, the Sun, the Moon and Ketu (the south node of the Moon). Fortunately for us here in America, this eclipse is not visible in our country (in Vedic Astrology, eclipses are not seen as auspicious but rather the opposite, and not good to try and look at or be outside during the event). This total solar eclipse, the last eclipse of 2020, is visible from Chile and some parts of Argentina in the afternoon. Some regions in southern South America, south-west Africa, and Antarctica will see a partial solar eclipse, if the weather permits. For those of you who like to track these events, Mountain time (though not visible here) this eclipse begins at about 6:34 a.m. The maximum eclipse time is 9:13 a.m, and the entire eclipse will be over at 11:53 a.m. A very good website to track eclipses is: https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse
To have the “light put out” of the luminary at the center of our solar system, even briefly, portends negative events to ensue some time within the next two weeks to one month, after the eclipse. How it affects those with Scorpio Rising or Moon sign, in a phrase, “that depends.” More spiritually developed Scorpios will use that time for going inward and possibly have deep insights, and break through long time patterns, especially if some sacred rituals are performed. Some feel that eclipses are a time when “The Veil is thinner” between dimensions. It is certainly better to focus on gaining deeper insights than the experiences some not as evolved Scorpios may experience: fears, giving in to addictions to combat insecurities, and the lack of personal power that can be experienced when their 10th house ruler (the house of power, name and fame) gets eclipsed.
Leo Ascendants and Moon sign individuals may be dealing with the loss of self confidence, friends or supports as this is their 4th house which governs these areas, and the Sun is the ruler of their charts. You may reflect on a specific person in a powerful position right now, who has this Rising sign. It will be interesting to see what befalls him on this day or shortly thereafter….
12/15 – The Sun moves into Sagittarius, getting away from the planet pile up in Scorpio. It will feel more comfortable here, as will the Leos, whose charts it rules. The Sag’s benefit by having their 9th house ruler (Good luck, and good fortune) now crossing their 1st house of self, body and the direction of their life.
12/16 – MERCURY enters Sagittarius late this night, joining its friend the Sun there. It is still traveling too close to this fiery orb, so remains in Combust the Sun status, which began on 11/24. This is a good house for Geminis, their 7th house of partners, travel and business. They will be in the mood to extend themselves to others. For the other sign ruled by Mercury, which is Virgo, this position represents their 4th house of home, property, happiness and self confidence, as well as vehicles. Those areas benefit from your attention now. It’s just the pesky combustion status that can bring some problems.
12/23 – MARS now goes into Aries, its own sign. Those ruled by Mars, Aries and Scorpio Rising and Moon signs, will feel energized by the competitive, masculine energy of this dynamic, action-oriented planet. There’s just no stopping them now, especially the Aries individuals. Try to avoid accidents due to speeding about too fast. This is the sign of new beginnings. Creative ideas get an influx of energy and a real productive flow of manifestation with this placement. Exciting times for many, after sitting around doing not much for so long!
