The first month of 2020 seemed to just fly by, didn’t it? Here we are in February, with a Leap Day at the end. Are you feeling better, more relieved to some degree, since Saturn moved into its own sign? It got out of “the gap,” i.e. far enough into Capricorn to be in its full power on February 4th, thus the changes can now be felt now.
2/02/20 – VENUS moved into Pisces, where it is in Exalted status. That will bring wonderful benefits to those with Taurus Rising or Moon signs, as that is their planetary ruler, now traveling through their 11th house of gain, income and fulfillment of desire. For the Libras, it’s not such a blessing as that is their 6th house of enemies, rivals, competitors, stresses, worries and health concerns. However, many other signs will enjoy this placement, which lasts until 2/28. For Virgos, that is their 7th house of business, partners and travels; for Geminis, it is their 10th house of career, action, name and fame, for Aquarians; it is their 2nd house of wealth, family and speech. For those with Aries Rising or Moon signs, Venus in Pisces is a 12th house placement and thus may increase their losses or expenses.
2/07/20 – MARS moves into Sagittarius, a friend’s sign. It will be in here until 3/22, and is a good placement for both signs that it rules. Scorpios will enjoy this placement in their 2nd house of wealth, and feel more conversational now. For Aries Rising and Moon sign folks, this is their 9th house of good luck, good fortune, remedies, pilgrimage, Dharma and Natural Law. So Aries friends will feel like they are riding on top of the waves of life, after that previous turn of Mars in their 8th house of vulnerability and transformation.
2/13/20 – The SUN enters Aquarius. This is a big improvement for Leos, who are ruled by the Sun, to have the Sun now traveling through their 7th house of partners, business and travel, rather than the previous month in which it was crossing their 6th house of worry, stress and health issues. Even though both Capricorn and Aquarius are ruled by Saturn and thus when the Sun traverses these back to back signs, it is in an enemy’s sign, with this move OUT of Capricorn, the Sun gets away from its enemy Saturn, which is still there, so will feel a lot more comfortable. It will be in this sign until 3/14.
2/16/20 – MERCURY RETROGRADE – this period will last until 3/09. Mercury is in Aquarius, a friend’s sign. As Mercury represents the intellect, among other things, in this highly cerebral air sign, discrimination and logic are supported, to analyze and get to the bottom of situations that may not have reached resolution before. Thus, even though people need to watch for the usual communication mix-ups in this period, it is actually perhaps not as challenging a Mercury Retro period as some have been. It is in a good house (the 9th) for the Geminis, who are ruled by Mercury, but for the Virgos, this represents their 6th house, so it will not be devoid of stress and obstacles for them. Virgos, stay on your mental toes and don’t let your guard down now.
2/19/20 – Mercury goes combust the Sun. This puts people on edge, especially those ruled by this planet. Conversation may be a little more tense during this time, people may regret “speaking first, and thinking later,” so let’s use this knowledge to “Avert the Danger Before it Arises,” which is a big benefit of Vedic Astrology. This period of traveling too close to the Sun lasts until 3/02 for Mercury.
2/28/20 – VENUS enters Aries, where it will be until 3/28. Those with Aries Rising or Moon signs will enjoy feeling more attractive and sexy now. This placement may increase expenses for the Taureans and either make them feel more inward or isolated, or perhaps some foreign travel may take place. Libras finally get a break, to have their chart ruler now moving through their 7th house of partners, increasing closeness to their mates or sweethearts.
